BILLY BOB THORNTON & THE BOXMASTERS —
Academy Award-winning actor and musician Billy Bob (“Bud”) Thornton and his band, The Boxmasters will make their Jackson Hole debut on Wednesday, June 24 as they bring their 2026 Morro Rock Tour to The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.
Founded twenty years ago with GRAMMY Award-winning engineer, J.D. Andrew, The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalogue of music that touches on their love of a wide array of influences, including the rock-and-roll of the 60’s, the British Invasion, the Southern California pop and the Memphis sound. As a touring band, The Boxmasters have cultivated a rabid fan base across the US, Canada and Europe, having headlined their own tours, as well as opening for acts like The Who, ZZ Top, Steve Miller Band and George Thorogood & the Destroyers.
The 2026 Morro Rock Tour will be in support of the band’s new album, In the Bay, written and inspired by Thornton’s time spent in the small central coastal town of Morro Bay, CA. According to Thornton, the album “has a strong Brian Wilson influence in the way the instrumentation is used. It’s our humble attempt at making our ‘Pet Sounds.’” Andrew adds, “We didn’t intend to make a Beach Boys, but when their influence runs so deep through us, it just happens.” In addition to The Cowboy Bar, this 40-city tour will make stops at other legendary venues including The Ryman, Gruene Hall, Billy Bob’s and Stagecoach.
General Admission tickets will be $95. A limited number of reserved tables will be available for $295 - $395 per seat. The dance floor will be open to all ticket holders. Tickets go on sale, Thursday, March 26th, at 10am (MT) and may be purchased online at cowboybarjh.com. Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, soon to enter its 90th year, is widely regarded as a national treasure and is regularly named one of the top honkytonks in the country. The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is dedicated to its value and significance as an iconic live music venue in America, by presenting the most iconic names in country music. #saddleup.
